2020年5月，牛背山举办智能机器僧、炒股机器人与潜意识开发研讨会，来自全球五十多名学者专家参会,并邀请H省弘林禅寺主持明海大和尚参加，研讨会由老谷子主持，潘丽虹也赶来参加。
疫情过后，养老社区建章立制，从爱护公共财物、珍惜每一粒米开始。老谷子要求按照寺院的管理规定制定社区管理制度。屡不执行的赶出养老院。
机器僧站在寺院门外，恭候各位客人的到来。
“师父，我上山时被飞虫咬了，要不要打死它？”有客人问。
“你也咬它一口。咬不着就当是奉献了。”机器僧很机智。

“慈悲很重要，但智慧也重要。”机器僧伸出两个大拇指。
研讨会在二楼禅室举行。
禅室中央是一个圆形会议桌，上面摆了一圈鲜花和一些印刷材料，每个座位前还放着一个话筒和一支笔。四周墙上都挂着释迦牟尼佛像。
